Organized by the Brazil NBS Alliance, the 3rd edition of the Brazilian Climate & Carbon Conference will take place on July 22 & 23, 2025, in São Paulo, Brazil. The event will bring together national and international experts, government representatives, the private sector, civil society, academia, and financial institutions to discuss the main advances and challenges related to the climate agenda and the development of the carbon market in Brazil.

Context

Brazil is at a pivotal moment in its climate agenda. In 2025, on the eve of COP30, the country is not only in the global spotlight but also challenged to show how it intends to transform its environmental potential into concrete and lasting leadership. With the regulation of the Brazilian Emissions Trading System (SBCE) underway, various sectors — public, private, financial, productive, and community-based — are being called upon to take on a new role in building a low-carbon economy.

Against this backdrop, the Brazilian Climate and Carbon Conference returns for its third edition as a well-established forum that connects the key actors driving the climate transition. The event aims to bridge sectors, translate regulatory complexities into real opportunities, and foster a collaborative environment.

More than just an event, it is a strategic moment to align visions, hear diverse perspectives, and promote practical solutions — with Brazil at the heart of global climate solutions dialogue.

Objectives of BCCC

  • Foster dialogue among sectors impacted by the SBCE regulation by promoting connections between government, private sector, local communities, academia, and financial institutions to strengthen a low-carbon economy in Brazil.
  • Promote coordination between jurisdictional programs and private initiatives, reinforcing complementary approaches that ensure integrity, transparency, and effectiveness in generating climate results.
  • Generate strategic proposals and insights to support Brazil’s positioning at COP30, reinforcing the country’s leadership in international negotiations and contributing to climate solutions aligned with national realities.
