About this event

The 14th São Paulo International Architecture Biennial will be held at Ibirapuera Park, São Paulo, from September 18 to October 19, 2025. Organized by the Brazilian Institute of Architects (IAB) and supported by the International Union of Architects (UIA), this Biennial carries the theme “Extremes: Architectures for an Overheated Planet”, spotlighting global climate governance, social equity, and ecological transformation.

As a major highlight, the China Architecture Exhibition will present Sharing·Intergrowth·Commensality: Designing for an Overheated Planet”. This exhibition gathers China’s leading architects and landmark projects that explore green, low-carbon, ecological, and socially responsible design, including works from Pritzker Prize Laureate Liu Jiakun, showcasing works such as the Jiangsu Horticultural Expo Main Pavilion, Beijing Winter Olympics Chongli District Upgrades, Shougang Big Air Venue, Jingdezhen Taoxichuan Art Academy, and Qintai Art Museum. Many renowned Chinese architects will be present in person to share their works.

Through these works and initiatives, the China Architecture Exhibition not only showcases outstanding architectural achievements but also communicates China’s response to the climate crisis, advancing cultural exchange and global collaboration.
