Online event
We're all communicActors here having a way to improve our interpretation skills while recognizing our voice.
About this event
Welcome to our dramatic reading!
We speak English and Portuguese. Feel free to join if you are a Portuguese speaker learning English.
Our goal is to provide an opportunity for those trying to improve their confidence when facing an audience. Try doing this in a comfortable environment, having fun, improving your creativity, and understanding your communication skills.
The session begins with some exercises to release tension, break the ice, and warm the breathing and voice to use it the best way during the performance.
With weekly sessions, we are bringing you this event to practice your public speaking by exercising with our group having funny tasks like actors have when preparing and rehearsing a play show.

How it works
You don´t need to have experience in public speaking or acting. That’s what we’ll be providing. A fun way for you to try yourself doing the same work actors does when preparing a part.
I´t´ s important to have the equipment to talk/listen to people and a nice connection to assure you have no problems with that.
We will be spending approximately 15 minutes (depending on the number of participants) introducing each other. After that, we start to prepare our breathing and voices to perform the reading with simple exercises. According to the number of attendees maybe we spend 20 minutes.
In the second step, communicActors will be assigned parts to read. The next step is to try to understand the context of what is happening during the dramaturgy. Overall, the objective is to let each participant find the best way to express their lines and the best sound our voices can perform to deliver a well-defined character.
We hope you have fun, and more than that, understand a bit more about this amazing tool our voice is, and the sounds we can make by using it the best way.
Let´ s breake our legs together! ;-))))
