More than 100 years after Freud’s discovery of the unconscious and over 40 years since Lacan’s death, is psychoanalysis still the same, or has it taken on a new face? Has the 21st century transformed our symptoms, our jouissance, our dreams, and our delusions? Are psychoanalysts’ tools still able to listen to the contemporary world?

These are some of the questions we will try to raise during this IIP Talks.

​​IIP Talks is a cycle of free lectures promoted by the International Institute of Psychoanalysis, an invitation to all those interested in getting to know the professors and friends of the IIP's formations- Foundations for a contemporary psychoanalysis and Technique(s) for a contemporary clinic, with a new class opening in September 2025.

The event is an opportunity to dive deeper into relevant issues for the psychoanalytical community.

Fabrice Bourlez is a psychoanalyst. PhD in philosophy, he teaches at the Ecole Supérieure d'Art et de Design de Reims and at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques Sciences-Po Paris. He is also co-holder of the chair Troubles, dissidences et esthétiques at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

He is a professor at the IIP since its creation. His publications include Pulsions Pasoliniennes (Presses du Réel/Franciscopolis, 2015) and Queer Psychanalyse (Hermann, 2018. Translations: Spanish 2020, Italian 2022). He published TACT, PUF, 2025.
