A Mandacaru é a sócia brasileira do What Design Can Do São Paulo, uma conferência internacional que reúne profissionais do mundo todo, das mais diferentes áreas para discutir o poder do design como ferramenta de transformação social. A próxima edição planejada para novembro de 2017 terá dois grandes temas:Mudanças Climáticas e Violência contra a Mulher.Além das palestras no grande palco, o evento promove em seus dois dias o aprofundamento de diversos assuntos em suasBreak Out Sessions, onde os participantes têm a chance de fazer workshops e trocar experiências com os palestrantes e outros profissionais.

Nos dias 22 e 23 de novembro, o What Design Can Do volta ao Brasil para a terceira edição do What Design Can Do São Paulo. Com milhões de pessoas ao redor do mundo afetadas pelo aumento do nível do mar, supertempestades e secas extremas, esta terceira edição foca no que o design pode fazer para criar soluções possíveis para um futuro sustentável e resiliente.
 
Palestrantes inspiradores e diversos workshops irão despertar toda a imaginação necessária para elaborar estratégias e empoderar os designers na criação de novos formatos para mudar a maneira como comemos, como vivemos e como produzimos a nossa energia.
 
O WDCD São Paulo irá apresentar a final do Climate Action Challenge, uma competição mundial entre designers, empreendedores criativos e startups reunindo ideias para lidar com os efeitos das mudanças climáticas. O júri internacional irá anunciar os vencedores no Teatro FAAP, em São Paulo.
