About the Sessions
As an artist, I’ve found that setting aside time for creative practice is essential. These sessions are designed to give others that same gift — dedicated time to explore, express, and let the art flow.
I’ve faced many challenges in my life, including trauma, mental health struggles, addiction and the complexities of being a human on this planet. Art has been a constant source of support and healing for me, and I want to share that experience with others. The hardest part is simply getting started — moving our hands and letting creativity guide us.
I studied printmaking and art education at California College of Arts and Crafts (BFA 2007) and have spent the past 15 years teaching art in communities around the world. I love helping people access their creative side and discover confidence through the process of making.
Creating art side by side — a practice called parallel play — can gently dissolve the edges of isolation. Being present together, even while working independently, offers support without pressure, community without comparison, and a shared creative rhythm that helps us keep going.
Come once or come often. Let’s explore, make marks, and see what happens.
