Since its chartering on May 16, 1987, the Port City (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated has been a driving force for meaningful change in the Greater Houston area and beyond. Founded by 26 visionary women of the Metropolitan Women’s League, Port City became the third chapter established in the region.
For nearly four decades, the chapter has delivered transformative community service, investing time, talent, and resources to uplift individuals and families—locally, nationally, and globally. From its early partnerships with the Shape Community Center and the Blue Triangle YMCA to hallmark initiatives like the Annual Oratorical Contest and Health, Education, and Science Fair, the Port City Chapter has continually responded to community needs with innovation, compassion, and purpose.
