Shoreline Rescue Club
Hi, I’m Michael Harvey, founder of the Shoreline Rescue Club. I'm a teacher, rugby coach, and lifelong lover of the Pacific Northwest. Born and raised on the North Shore, I now split my time between the classroom, the rugby field, and the beaches and trails that fuel my passion for conservation and community action.
The Shoreline Rescue Club is a grassroots initiative dedicated to cleaning and protecting BC’s coastlines. Once a month, we organize beach cleanups across the Lower Mainland and Gulf Islands, removing plastic, styrofoam, and marine debris from the places we all love. Our events are free, inclusive, and community powered. Whether you're a student, local resident, outdoor enthusiast, or just looking to give back, you’re welcome here.
What started as a small side project has grown into a province-wide movement with hundreds of volunteers and over 10,000,000 people reached online.
Join us at an upcoming event and help protect the shorelines that define our region.
