With over a decade of experience in the social care sector, I am passionate about supporting individuals and businesses to thrive in the care industry. As the founder of Alana Care Solutions, I specialize in connecting clients with trusted care providers, offering tailored consultations, and implementing robust safeguarding practices.

My personal experience with care has profoundly shaped my journey. When my grandfather lived with us during my childhood, he was later placed in care due to Alzheimer’s when I was 9. This early exposure to the challenges of caregiving imbedded a lifelong passion to support those affected by Alzheimer's, and I’ve since been actively involved in raising funds and awareness through charity work.

When my dad suffered a severe stroke and later developed vascular dementia, there were no home care services available at the time, making it extremely difficult to find the right kind of support. My family and I worked hard to return to the UK to support both him and my mum, and this experience deepened my commitment to improving care systems and providing better support for families in similar situations.

I also lead the Stronger Together support groups, fostering collaboration among registered managers and company directors in the social care network. My mission is to reduce isolation, streamline operations, and encourage business growth through strategic guidance, resource sharing, and structured support.

Outside of work, I have gained so much from parkrun over the past 11 years that in 2017 I helped launch a new parkrun in my hometown of Montrose. I am now a regular volunteer and Run Director at Harrogate parkrun, promoting health and community connection through fitness.
