Jewish Engagement Center, Chabad Neighborhood
We are a grassroots, heart-centered Jewish community dedicated to bringing warmth, joy, and meaningful Jewish experiences to every stage of life. With a unique blend of tradition, creativity, and personal connection, we build community one Shabbat dinner, one holiday celebration, and one cup of coffee at a time.
At the core of what we do is a deep commitment to authentic Jewish living that’s accessible, family-friendly, and soul-nourishing.
What We Do
- Monthly Shabbat Dinners: Family-friendly, soulful, and joyful Shabbat dinners drawing 20–40 people—from first-timers to regulars—sharing food, friendship, and inspiration.
- The Summer Challah Shoppe: Every Friday in summer, we sell fresh challah, offering a delicious way for locals to bring home the beauty of Shabbos.
- One-on-One Learning: From personalized Bar Mitzvah prep to spontaneous halacha discussions, we’re always ready to learn and grow together.
- Community & Holiday Events: Whether it’s Chanukah, Purim, Sukkot or Lag BaOmer, our celebrations are inclusive, festive, and often tailored for kids, families, and young adults.
- Senior & Middle-Aged Shabbat Gatherings: We host intimate, warm Shabbat experiences for older adults, offering belonging and spiritual nourishment.
- Young Jewish Professionals Events: Every other month, we create relaxed and meaningful gatherings for YJP to connect over dinner, learning, and shared values.
- Challah & Mitzvah Outreach: We deliver fresh challah to random Jewish homes—reminding families of Shabbos, connection, and tradition.
- Tefillin & Candle-Lighting Campaigns: We personally invite Jewish men to wrap tefillin and women to light Shabbos candles—rekindling mitzvos, one soul at a time.
- Bakes & Bonds: From babka bakes to hamentashen workshops, challah bakes to teen/YJP culinary nights—we bring people together over flour, fun, and tradition.
- Pastoral Support & Coffee Shop Conversations: Whether it’s guidance, encouragement, or just a listening ear, we’re always just one coffee away from showing up for someone in need.

Why It Matters
Judaism is not just about rituals—it's about relationships. It’s about building a home for Jewish life where everyone feels seen, supported, and celebrated. Your support helps us plant seeds of connection, ignite Jewish pride, and bring the joy of Yiddishkeit into homes and hearts across our community.
This isn’t just programming. It’s life-changing, soul-touching Jewish connection, one mitzvah at a time.
