Colleen Thompythomp
Colleen is an environmental and multidisciplinary artist from Scotland with a degree in Art & Design & a post graduate diploma in Landscape Architecture with pieces in the permanent collection at Aberdeen Art Gallery and the Bodleian Library. She has worked in Community Education, Deaf Action, NHS Lothian Community Mental Health and as lecturer at Edinburgh College of Art. She has created events for the Woodcraft Folk and props and scenery for the Traverse & Bedlam Theatres. Currently a member of Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop and the Artist as Advocate programme run by artandecology.earth and supported by Edinburgh Communities Climate Action Network.
Two of Colleen’s great grandfathers were involved in the Scottish fishing industry ; One captained the Faithlee, a steam powered trawler from Fraserburgh, another was a sailmaker based in Cairnbulg
