Koku-Roko
Koku-Roko is an igniting black and brown led learning community established in Philadelphia that encourages creative, curious, continuous learners, and conscious critical thinkers.
We have an in person and extended family co-op tribe. If interested, check out our interest form.
We play and are inspired by alternative Sankofa learning styles & cross cultural influences. Creating a space where we can collectively create child led & family encouraged learning experience.
We are an independent operating group that agrees to sustainable and holistic practices to create more balance with the earth and each other.
We support each other’s families, building a vibrant community where we feel light, excited, and nurtured.
We are a nurturing space for our children for both their physical and spiritual bodies. Creating safe spaces amongst the community to communicate, share ideas and concerns.
Our logo, the adinkra symbol of Ananse Intontan, represents the Creativity of the weaver (Ananse Kokuroko, The Great Spider), Wisdom, and the Complexities of Life.
We document and share our practices to help build other spaces & communities in Philly and abroad for folks who want to connect, grow, and/or start a co-op learning environment for their neighborhood and community.
