Medieval and Early Modern Orients

Medieval and Early Modern Orients is a decolonial project with a digital platform that seeks to further scholarly and public knowledge of the early interactions between Muslim empires and peoples with the rest of the world, above all with Europe. The project is run by an international group of researchers who hail from across the globe. Through their academic and public-facing activities and publications, the MEMOs team aims to bridge gaps in scholarly and public cultural knowledge on the centrality of the premodern Muslim world (500-1750) to global history
