At all levels of the criminal justice system it is important to understand the different types of brain assessments, how to interpret their results and images, and whether they can be used for purposes of identifying pain, emotional distress, lies, etc.

Brain interventions are used by doctors and scientists to treat disorders, enhance cognition and study brain function. In this course students will learn the science behind these interventions, in addition to their ethical, legal, and social implications.

For those unfamiliar with the brain, and either employed or pursuing a career in the field of criminal justice, this course will get you up to speed on what the brain is, what the brain does, and how disorders of the brain can affect our behavior.
