London Deaf Queer Society

London Deaf Queer Society

The London Deaf Queer Society, launched in early 2023, is based in London and the South East of England. Our mission is to create a safe and inclusive space for the Deaf and hearing-impaired LGBTQ+ community. We meet every 3rd Friday of the month from 5pm to 8pm. Our gatherings are open to Deaf, hard of hearing, cochlear implant users, Deafblind individuals, CODA/DP, hearing signers, and BSL/SSE/ISL users.

Our goal is to break down barriers and promote awareness, inclusion, diversity, equality, and accessibility. Many hearing-impaired individuals have experienced isolation, loneliness, stigma, social exclusion, and discrimination due to communication barriers. We aim to provide support and advice to those in need, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Our venue locates at London LGBTQ+ Community Centre, 60-62 Hopton Street, London, SE1 9JH. Next to London Blackfriars Station.
