Lorraine Mahoney – Voice Coach and Singing Teacher

Lorraine has over 30 years of experience teaching singing and performing arts. She qualified as an Estill Master Trainer in May 2020. She currently teaches in Higher Education at Wilkes Academy, Swindon.

As a performer, Lorraine has been in demand as a recitalist and soprano soloist in London and southern England, Australia, Belgium, France, Germany and Gibraltar. Performed works include Handel’s Messiah and Rutter’s Magnificat and Requiem.

Additionally, she works in an advisory role for the Speech and Language Therapy sector in Wiltshire hospitals, specialising in vocal anatomy and physiology. Previously, Lorraine was a Singing Tutor at Italia Conti, Woking, and an Advanced Singing and Vocal Anatomy Lecturer at the Wales Academy of Voice and Dramatic Arts (WAVDA), University of Wales Trinity Saint David (Cardiff), and served as Musical Director for one of the prestigious Military Wives Choirs. She still runs her own choir The Semingtones.

Lorraine is deeply passionate about vocal health and helping students explore and master different voicing qualities. Her teaching specialisms include Belt, Mix, and Legit styles, and she takes great pride in seeing her students grow in ability, understanding, and confidence.
