Matthew Gasda (CTR)

After a decade of staging plays in living rooms and other non-traditional venues around New York City, our theatre company found a home in an industrial Greenpoint loft in 2023 and became known as the Brooklyn Center for Theatre Research (BCTR). Despite being off the beaten path, our shows were reviewed by The New York Times, New York Magazine and The Guardian, and made their way to San Francisco, London, Stockholm and Sydney. In 2026, we moved to a new location near Manhattan’s Union Square.
