South Gippsland Shire is located in coastal south eastern Victoria, approximately 100 kilometres south-east of Melbourne. The Shire is a rural, residential and tourist area. It encompasses 3,308 square kilometres, including extensive coastal areas and the spectacular Wilsons Promontory National Park.
