St James Music Series promotes live performances for Vancouverites and visitors in its historic building designed by Adrian Gilbert Scott, the brother of Giles Gilbert Scott. The heritage building from 1936 has been described as a modern version of fourteenth-century Gothic.It seats around 300, has a baby grand piano, and a three-manual, 31-rank Casavant Freres pipe organ.
